"Where do I begin?', the student asked the teacher. "Why, right here, of course." replied the Master.
Simple words, yet knowing where you are is often the most overlooked first step in any journey. Many people, after traveling down the road find themselves coming back for 'something they forgot' or realizing that they were headed in the 'wrong direction'. Taking a minute to be present to where you are Right Now can assist you in avoiding such 'false starts'. Additionally, it sets the first Milestone for you - the Zero Milestone that marks 'the spot' of where you began.
Take a few minutes today to simply observe Where you are Right Now. Find a quiet space with a few minutes of free time and give yourself permission to See where you are - without attachment or judgment. Feel yourself grounded and part of the earth, surrendering your will to the pull of gravity that has you firmly rooted in place. Just let yourself Be for a few minutes - allowing whatever thoughts or feelings that come into your mind just flow through you without resistance. Focus on your breathing and notice how it feels to breathe in and breathe out, filling your lungs and body. Note the time, the date, your physical location and just enjoy Being there for a short time.
This is where you are, now you can begin. :)
All the Best,
Whitney
